This is a new set of thick wall 92mm VW air-cooled Type 1 pistons and cylinders. These cylinders are a full 2mm thicker than a standard 92mm cylinder. Perfect for those who want the best in terms of cooling or strength for high-performance applications. This kit requires machine work on the cylinder heads and case. Fits 90.5/92 case and 94 heads.The 39.80mm compression height will work with small stroked cranks 69, 74, and 76.

Our Ready to Run option takes the guesswork out of prepping your piston and cylinder set for installation!
We balance the pistons, rings, and pins within one gram, measure piston and cylinders to match tolerance as close as possible with the set and label according to cylinder (Tightest tolerance starting with #1, #2, #4 then #3), Gap piston rings for street use (message us at time of order if you want custom ring gaps) cut the flashing out of the cooling fins for proper cooling, and apply a light flat black coat of paint to the barrels to prevent rust. We lightly coat the cylinder crosshatch with oil and load the oil ringlands with our own mix of oil to aid in break in.
