Forged JE 103mm 2.0 Porsche 914/ VW Type 4 Piston and Liner kit

Description

This is a new set of VW Type 4 103mm flat top JE Pistons and cylinders. JE Forgings are made from 2618 Aluminum, They have a 0 offset with extra material under the top for the valve pockets. The Big Bore Cylinders are honed in house to exact tolerances. This set comes with a 34.6mm Compression Height and the 24mm Pin. The slightly smaller compression height allows you to easily build small stroked engines 71 to 78mm with the Standard length rods that have the 24mm pins giving you the option to Build 2.3L and bigger Engines. This is a Machine in kit you will need to open both the Heads and Case to install them.

Our Ready to Run option takes the guesswork out of prepping your piston and cylinder set for installation!

We balance the pistons, rings, and pins within one gram, measure piston and cylinders to match tolerance as close as possible with the set and label according to cylinder (Tightest tolerance starting with #1, #2, #4 then #3), Gap piston rings for street use (message us at time of order if you want custom ring gaps) cut the flashing out of the cooling fins for proper cooling, and apply a light flat black coat of paint to the barrels to prevent rust. We lightly coat the cylinder crosshatch with oil and load the oil ring lands with our own mix of oil to aid in break in.
