Description
Made from investment cast aluminum, with cast in EMPI logo and polished ribs on a black background. The finned design helps reduce upper cylinder head temperature and there is enough clearance for most high lift rocker arms. It also has a boss that can be drilled for venting to a breather box. The special C-Channel-Type gaskets and stud seals insure positive sealing. Installation on 67 and prior Bugs may require trimming of the body for clearance. Complete with all gaskets and hardware.
ACPW Note: These use a proprietary C-Channel gasket. If you over-tighten the valve cover it is easy for the valve cover to cut through the gasket (Causing an oil leak, obviously). Keep an extra gasket set just in case and be mindful of how much you tighten it down!
