Description

This is a Brand New Set of 96mm Pistons and Cylinders for the VW Type 4 and Porsche 914 1.7/1.8L with the Stock 66mm Stock Crank. The Pistons are a Flat Top Slipper Skirt design. They Slip into both the 1.7 and 1.8L Cases. 1.7L Heads will need to be opened, no Machine work is needed on the 1.8L

Ready to Run Option!

Our Ready to Run option takes the guesswork out of prepping your piston and cylinder set for installation!

We balance the pistons, rings, and pins within one gram, measure piston and cylinders to match tolerance as close as possible with the set and label according to cylinder (Tightest tolerance starting with #1, #2, #4 then #3), Gap piston rings for street use (message us at time of order if you want custom ring gaps) cut the flashing out of the cooling fins for proper cooling, and apply a light flat black coat of paint to the barrels to prevent rust. We lightly coat the cylinder crosshatch with oil and load the oil ringlands with our own mix of oil to aid in break in.
