Description
This is a set of brand new 90mm Porsche 914/ VW Type 4 “flat top” pistons and cylinders for the 1.7 liter stock 66mm stroke engine. The flat top kit is for lower-compression builds. This kit gives you the ability to rebuild your old 1.7L without needing to replace everything.

Ready to Run Option!
Our Ready to Run option takes the guesswork out of prepping your piston and cylinder set for installation!
We balance the pistons, rings, and pins within one gram, measure piston and cylinders to match tolerance as close as possible with the set and label according to cylinder (Tightest tolerance starting with #1, #2, #4 then #3), Gap piston rings for street use (message us at time of order if you want custom ring gaps) cut the flashing out of the cooling fins for proper cooling, and apply a light flat black coat of paint to the barrels to prevent rust. We lightly coat the cylinder crosshatch with oil and load the oil ringlands with our own mix of oil to aid in break in.
